Resumen

La humanización es un factor determinante en la práctica enfermera, especialmente en lo que respecta a la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI). El objetivo principal de este trabajo es describir el impacto de las prácticas humanas de los cuidados de enfermería en el paciente crítico. Tras la revisión de diversas bases de datos, se determina la metodología de acuerdo con el método PRISMA. El trato recibido por el personal sanitario debe basarse en la empatía, el respeto y la dignidad. Es fundamental garantizar un entorno que favorezca el bienestar de la persona y su acompañante, atendiendo a las condiciones físicas, emocionales y ambientales. Para proporcionar un cuidado de calidad, es necesario analizar y valorar las experiencias por parte de los agentes involucrados (paciente, familia y profesionales de enfermería). Esto permitirá desarrollar una atención personal basada en la evidencia. Comprender los cuidados críticos actuales permite reflexionar sobre esta práctica y sus posibles barreras, proponiendo nuevas alternativas centradas en la persona. Los estudios de investigación referentes a este aspecto son necesarios para continuar progresando en el camino de la humanización

Abstract

Humanization is a determining factor in nursing practice, especially in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The main objective of this work is to describe the impact of humanistic nursing care practices on critically ill patients. After reviewing various databases, the methodology was determined according to the PRISMA approach. The treatment received from healthcare staff must be based on empathy, respect, and dignity. It is essential to guarantee an environment that promotes the well-being of the patient and their companion, taking into account physical, emotional, and environmental conditions. To provide quality care, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the experiences of all stakeholders (patient, family, and nursing professionals). This will allow for the development of personalized, evidence-based care. Understanding current critical care practices allows us to reflect on this practice and its potential barriers, proposing new, person-centered alternatives. Research studies on this aspect are necessary to continue progressing toward humanization
